UTV Behind the Seat Heat Shield/UTV Cooler Cab Kit
The Wolfsnout® UTV Back Seat Heat Shield is a fantastic product that significantly reduces heat and dust produced by the engine and dirt trails.
Wolfsnout Cooler cab kit for RZR XP 1000, XPT 1000, XP4 1000 and 1000 S. We all feel the heat. Sometimes its unbearable in the summer. Nice to have in the winter. This kit greatly reduces cab heat by insulating, deflecting and sealing hot air entry. This kit comes with what you need to keep the hot air from blowing in from under the dash as well as deflecting hot air from the radiator at the drive line cover. It also insulates the drive line and cup holders. All inserts can be removed for winter riding to turn the heat back on.
For directions on installation check out the diagram (including upgraded parts) and video below
REAR DRIVELINE CAP
This replaces the peel and stick type in the video.
- Bend the metal wire holding the seat belt sensor wire, down about ½ inch. If your seat belt safety wire is still in use, you may need to use a pair of scissors and make a small slice in the bottom of the cap to accommodate the wire,
- Install from the back side, fit the slotted section over the shifter cable
- Once the bottom is pushed up against the frame, using two fingers, push the tabs on the ends, to the center and up. Getting them to the top of the frame.
- Making sure it is seated into the opening evenly, and on top of the shifter cable and the seat belt sensor clip (that was bent downward in step 1.)
You will need to use this video to get the rest. There are also two 1 ½” x 1 ½” bell shaped pieces in the kit. They go in the openings just under the square foam pieces seen on the video where the frame meets the roll cage.
Tip: after the drive line insulator is installed as in the picture run a bead of silicone down the driver side edge to better seal. This will make a difference and the part will still be easy to remove. Gorilla tape is a great choice to seal the cab seam that runs left to right on the front of the cab.
Directions For Use – Behind the Seat Heat Shield
This is our solution. Its a aluminum foil insulating sound proofing material that we heat laminated to a rubber backing with mylar bubble insulation in between for great insulating ability. It is then die cut, seemed to be a fitted to the full back panel, to not only to insulate but stop the hot air that is pulled in from the back when you are running full wind shields. Once we die cut for the seat belt brackets and the frame tubes it’s coated with bed liner to give it a tough and nice looking finish.
Not only does it block the back heat out it greatly reduces engine noise in the cab. You can take it out in the winter to get your heater back. If you use harnesses we also offer rubber harness grommets to close off the heater vents were the harnesses attach. They also give a finished look.

The kit is well thought out. I’m impressed by the quality of the “foam”. But this is Wolfsnout’s forte so to speak so IMHO it meets what I’d expect from Wolfsnout.

I ordered the cab cooler kit and it really works as advertised. It gets a little warm down here in south Texas and I had already tried wrapping the coolant pipes, covering the center console with reflective heat tape and a couple of other things, but nothing really worked. Put in the Wolfsnout kit and it actually made a huge difference in getting rid of the in cab heat.

Ok, I thought it best that I check back in and tell you how I liked the goggles. Rode with them yesterday. The best I’ve ever worn. I wear glasses and with my Oakleys they fog up when I ride. Not so with the Premium goggles.
