The Hybrid Air Ram Cowl Induction System is precisely engineered to manage and balance airflow across the XP 1000’s front end. As the radiator forces hot air toward the front of the cab, a radiator air deflector redirects and isolates that heat, preventing it from transferring into the cab area and creating a cleaner, cooler flow path.
Next, the front section of the cab is transformed into a functional plenum, designed to efficiently distribute incoming air from the cowl induction.
This cool, high-pressure air from the Air Ram is then split into two controlled paths:

Primary Flow

The majority of the air is directed through the central cowl induction port and into the cab floor area, flooding the XP 1000’s natural low-pressure zone with cool, refreshing airflow — even at speeds as low as 5 mph. Inside the Air Ram, this air is guided through several internal air veins, which distributes air flow and forms a cooling air cushion on the floor. This design stabilizes cab pressure and pushes heat away from the driver and passenger area for consistent cooling, while preventing dust.

Secondary Flow

A smaller, controlled percentage of air is routed between the radiator heat shield and the front cab plastics, flushing out trapped heat and preventing buildup behind the Heat Separator. This secondary stream cools the outer surfaces, helping to keep the front plastics and cab face cooler while aiding in heat dissipation from the radiator zone.
When paired with the Wolfsnout® Cool Cab Kit, which seals critical heat pass through gaps, this hybrid system not only lowers interior temperatures but also prevents dust intrusion — creating the cleanest, coolest, and most balanced cab environment possible.

Aerodynamic Function

As the boundary layer of air forms at the base of the Air Ram, it’s precisely guided downward. When the curve of the cowl becomes too tight, that boundary layer separates — allowing a large portion of the high-pressure air to be forced directly into the plenum. Air traveling off the cowl surface moves toward the rear of the plenum, while the air veins direct flow outward through dual entrance ports, maintaining smooth, controlled circulation through both the interior and exterior cooling channels.
